Turn a product review into a shopping list

Save the review while it is useful

A video introduces a coffee, sauce or household product you want to try. A few days later, you may only remember that there was something worth buying. Share the review with Potom through Android Share to keep the products and source together.

Choose what belongs on your list

Potom separates recognised products into individual items. Open the collection and select only the products you need. You can add them to an existing shopping list or create a new one.

1. Check the product names against the review.
2. Select the items you want.
3. Choose an existing list or name a new one.
4. Add your selection and clarify the entries if needed.

This does not create a store basket or place an order. Potom does not select a retailer or promise current prices or availability.

Choose a store on the map

Return to the saved review card and add a location reminder. Find a store on the map or select a point. The reminder belongs to the card; the shopping list is stored separately.

When you are near the chosen location, Potom can remind you about the saved item. Android location access, notification permissions and background settings affect delivery. Set these up when you first use the feature.

If a reminder does not appear

• Check that you selected a location reminder.
• Review Potom permissions in Android settings.
• Make sure notifications and location services are enabled.
• Open the saved card and check the selected map point.

A geofence does not establish that you entered a shop. It helps you remember something nearby, and notification timing can vary. You can still open the saved card and list yourself.

Use the same approach for recipes

A recipe card can supply ingredients for your shopping list. Keep the full recipe separate from what you actually need to buy: leave out salt, oil or other ingredients already in your kitchen. Review quantities in the original recipe before shopping.
